Who are our Counselling Services For?
Our free and confidential “one on one” counselling services are for anyone aged 18 and over.
The service is provided in a quiet and safe setting, we pride ourselves on the warm and professional welcome that awaits those who require our help when drugs or alcohol are causing problems in their lives.

What We Offer
Experienced and professional assistance with a range of substance misuse issues, from alcohol or drugs, through to difficulties with prescribed medications, or indeed the use of unprescribed medications and so-called “legal highs” – now known as New Psychoactive Substances or NPS’s.
We do not provide residential care or rehab, we do work closely with other organisations that may be able to.

Who Can Refer?
Anyone aged 18 or over can refer themselves for counselling and we also accept referrals from a wide range of statutory or voluntary sector organisations and even family members referring on behalf of a relative who might be experiencing difficulties, so long as this has been talked about and agreed beforehand.

What Happens Next?
When we receive a new referral we will firstly arrange a convenient appointment time when an assessment can be made of the person’s current situation. Once this is done there will be a brief pause (depending on waiting lists and the demands for our services) before regular counselling commences.
Counselling will usually then take place on a weekly basis, with the same therapist, over a period of up to 12 sessions, in which we work to help people understand and overcome their substance problems and to begin to move forward into a better, healthier and happier way of living.

Interested in Learning More?
If you’re interested in getting help with a substance problem, need advice about someone you know that you might be worried about, or would simply like to just talk to someone over the phone about what you might expect if you were to come forward for counselling, then you simply have to contact us on the telephone number, via email or use the contact form, we’ll be glad to help in any way we can.
